Veteran Milwaukee Journal Sentinel writer Mike Hart has covered the wide world of sports for over 25 years. He`s written about NFL great Brett Favre, basketball legend Michael Jordan and baseball Hall of Famer Robin Yount. Now he has added loveable pooch Sammy Sam to the all-star lineup.
Hart is currently the Sports Wire editor for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. In addition, he has been a Packer Plus columnist for the past 8 years. He also writes the popular Up/Down feature and his sports comic stylings have appeared in the Seattle Times and the Los Angeles Times.
He has also covered Milwaukee Brewers, Green Bay Packers, Marquette basketball and worked as a Sports Illustrated stringer. He is a Baseball Hall of Fame voter and a Wooden Award voter.
The 51-year-old Hart lives in Milwaukee with his wife, Anne, and daughter, Alisha. The nest is not that empty, however, as they have Sammy the dog, Abbey the other dog, Spencer the cat, Coco the bird, Mary Lou the bunny and a school of fish.
