Christine Garrett
Christine Keener Garrett graduated from Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania with a degree in education and minor in English. She spent 14 years as an English teacher before pursuing her current career in marketing writing articles, video transcripts, short stories, press releases and communications for a major corporation. Jump Start Your Marriage is her first book and she is in the process of writing two additional books, another one for couples and one for families with children, in the same interactive-type format. She is an avid reader of inspirational, self-help, romance, fiction and biography books. She attends writing workshops and is a member of the Charlotte Writers` Club. Christine was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and was raised in the suburb of Bethel Park. She moved to Charlotte, N.C. along with her husband David and two children over 20 years ago and currently resides outside of the city. She has been happily married to David for 32 years and her children, Lisa 30 and Brandon 27, are married and both expecting their first child this year. Other than reading and writing, she enjoys drawing, boating, auto racing, NFL football, traveling, fine wine and spending time with family. In addition to her hobbies, Christine is a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity, the Larry McReynolds Charity Golf Tournament, Walter G. Byers Elementary School, Race Playce Park and Coats for Kids.
