Grew up and went to school in Asheville, North Carolina, (Latin, newspaper route, chess), can`t explain baseball, likes gardening and beer, hangs out in Boston, sometimes on the Harvard University lawn, rides a second-hand Yamaha XJ 900, wanted to become an astrophysicist, studied electrical engineering at the ETHZ instead and failed in politics and chemistry, studied linguistics at the University of Zurich, president of Swiss Copywriters Assn. for five years, founded ITLA in 1974 on a lasting whim.
