I`m the son of an Organizational Development Consultant...Robert P. Crosby, whom you interviewed recently. He is also a Methodist Minister, which makes me an ODK-PK. I`ve followed in his footsteps and basically help people "be themselves" within organizations, and get organized to do the most important work.

In other words, work places are more healthy and productive and profitable if most of the people are being honest with themselves and with others about what they want, think, and feel. That tone has to be set by the leadership, or it isn`t likely to happen. Actually, many leaders through unintentional behavior, are creating the opposite...a culture of fear, where most people are carefully hiding what they really want from each other, think about what`s happening, and feel. That cripples productivity and kills the human spirit. That`s what dad taught me to change, and I love it!

As far as writing goes, I`ve written many articles for business journals and the like, and I publish an e-newsletter 3 times annually which has more than 1,600 readers. And I`ve just written my first book, a personal development self-help book entitled "Fight, Flight, Freeze: Taming Your Reptilian Brain and other Practical Approaches to Self- Improvement." I`m very excited about it. Now if I can just find a publisher!

What is Emotional Intelligence? - Simply stated, "What is Emotional Intelligence?" Emotional Intelligence is a disciplined awareness of and respect for emotion in self and in others, which in turn allows for more rational management of emotional moments.

Human Factors Issue 9.2 - The Leadership Traits of Gandhi and Patton - While Mahatma Gandhi and General George S. Patton had opposite views on violence, they had strikingly similar leadership traits.

Triangulation: When Work Culture Saps Productivity - We form a “triangle” with our attention whenever we focus together on anything other than our relationship with the person (or persons) we’re with.

Have You Looked Under the Hood and Checked Your Paradigm Lately? - Personality Theory – Based loosely on psychoanalytical theory, this is the predominant paradigm in western civilization today.

Reactivity and the Reptilian Brain - The following is a subject that many people can relate to - that moment of reactivity where we are ready to fight, flee, or freeze (I just had a moment like that with my wife) - and some of the basics of what to do about it.
