My name is Jennifer and I am a Sacred Heart University student. I am 21 years old and interested in a career in broadcast journalism. Interest in this field developed through my experience with public speaking competitions in high school. After a speech, audience members would tell me that they did not know about a particular issue and that they will make different decisions in the future. This is what really attracted me to the field.  The fact that through communication one can bring information to individuals to help their lives in a positive manner is astounding. I am passionate about combining my interest in broadcast journalism with my desire to make a difference. I whole-heartedly believe that communication is the bridge that can connect and will connect the world to every single individual. Moreover, that is why I would like to use communication as my vessel to aid in making a change.
