Lizette Lopez De Arriaga is founder of Lizette`s Cuisine, a private service catering enterprise offering customized meal planning and entertaining for celebrities and other high-powered individuals. She also contracts with hotel chains, convention centers and catering companies to plan and coordinate event services, managing staff to adhere to unparalleled service.
Most recently, Lizette created the Wellness Ambassador Program, educating and motivating groups and organizations on creating healthy relationships with food and their emotional and physical well-being. The positive reactions she`s received when speaking to teens has prompted her to continue to share her inspirational messages of wellness, family, love and taking joy in serving others.
Born in Mexico City, Lizette was raised in a bustling family setting where the culture of food and hospitality was a staple and way of life. Inspired at home by her mother and grandmother`s cooking - and later influenced by Julia Child - Lizette explored her curiosity and passion for cooking and refined her leadership skills by attending culinary training at UCLA`s Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management Program and Cornell University`s Hospitality Management Leadership Certificate Program.
Lizette began her professional career at the prestigious Ritz Carlton in Marina Del Rey, where she developed an even stronger understanding of what it means to provide guests with five-star service. She continues to practice the company`s iconic credo by providing the finest personal service instilling well-being and fulfilling even unexpressed wishes and needs. As important, she teaches others to take pride in what they do, motivating and inspiring staff to live up to the high standards she sets for herself.
In her twenty-one years of professional experience, Lizette has managed catering services for A-list celebrities at Hollywood`s most highly-regarded events like the Academy Awards, the Emmys and the Grammys. She`s also cooked and catered for dignitaries, politicians, Fortune 500 executives and everyday folk. Lizette has managed large-scale events in such settings as the Los Angeles Convention Center, Los Angeles Marriott Downtown, Wolfgang Puck Catering and Along Came Mary.
Through her signature Wellness Ambassador Program, Lizette works with organizations and schools that empower Americans to develop a healthy relationship with food and discover the joys of cooking. She expresses her values of compassion, wellness, happiness and self-esteem to inspire people of all ages to be their own ambassadors for wellness and to share their knowledge with family, friends and the community. As a speaker in the Tavis Smiley Leadership Foundation, Lizette has been successful in presenting to teens, advocating and encouraging the benefits of incorporating health and wellness into their own lives and their families.
