Nikki Roberti

Nikki Roberti is a freshman at Appalachian State University in Boone, NC and an intern lifestyles reporter for the campus publication The Appalachian.

Originally from Florida, Nikki Roberti interned as a journalist for The Florida Today’s teen section, The Verge, for the past five years.

The Newspaper Association of America (NAA) chose her as one of 13 teen journalists nationwide to be a “Teen Fellow.” She was also the female representative of Florida for the Al Neuharth Free Spirit Journalism Scholarship the recipient of the Verge senior scholarship.

Nikki is a 7-time award-winning playwright with this 16 performances being produced of her past work. Her pieces were performed in venues such as the Kennedy Center in D.C. where 4 of the 10 pieces featured for Cappies International Theater (CIT) were hers as well as a monologue at TACT Studio on 900 Broadway.

As a journalism major and budding playwright, Nikki plans on moving to New York after graduation to pursue her dreams of writing both for Broadway and the New York Times. She ultimately hopes to start her own magazine one day.
