I have a master's degree in Mass communication from Pakistan. I wrote in The News newspapers  as a weekly TV critic for 5 years. I worked as an editorial assistant  in Newsline magazine for an year.

I contributed several articles to dental technology newsletter.I took a hiatus of five years to bring up three babies.I managed to get a children's book" Spectacles" published in the meanwhile.

I would like to contribute research/interview based articles, personal essays, book reviews on topics of child care, education, immigrant cultures, women's affairs  and homeownership.

A Disaster Strikes Balochistan - Logistics, bureaucratic hurdles and gloomy weather have hampered relief efforts in Balochistan, battered by tropical cyclone Yemyin of June 26.

Further Adventures of Thing One and Thing Two - It was the first hint of spring after a very hard winter. The Things naturally could not resist the soft balmy air, the cloudless sky, the thin golden sun.

Local Media Cannot Keep Ignoring the Muslim Vote - The word was out in mosques, community parties and Islamic schools, Ramadan feasts all over Pittsburgh: get the vote out.

Living with thing One and Thing Two - They are asleep in the same cot, heads almost touching, and one Spiderman fleece blanket stretched up to their noses. Three years old and I still marvel at the sight of the mirror images, the perfect Xerox copies made by nature.
