Well, my name is Stacy, and I'm a junior print journalism major at Hofstra University on Long Island.  I am originally from Connecticut, and I love it there!

My passion in life is sports.  I have played sports, watched sports, and written about sports for basically my entire life, and that's what I would like to contribute to the Student Operated Press.

I'm a very competitive person, and I really try to go after what I want 100%.  I'm confident in myself and my work, and I know that my background in sports will also propel me into a future with sports.

My past journalism experience includes a summer internship for the past two summers at a local paper in Middlefield, CT.  I also write for the sports section of the Hofstra Chronicle, our school paper.  I maintain a 3.7 GPA at Hofstra, and I have taken many relevant courses including News Writing, Advanced News Writing, Broadcast News, Copy Editing, and others.

My goals are very simple.  I want a career in the field of journalism, and I am willing to do whatever it takes and work as hard as possible to achieve that.  I hope the Student Operated Press will help me with that.

Who Will It Be This Year? - Last year was a year to remember for some, and a year to forget for some in college basketball. Perennial favorites like Duke and UConn were nowhere to be found in Indianapolis.
