In Talia`s posts on her blog www.backtobasics-talia.com she advocates for simple green living on a budget. Her articles include Simple Composting, Homemade Cleaning Products, How to Make Your Own Baby Food and Homemade Facials, to name a few. She wants us to go back to the basics of life by doing things simply without breaking the bank. She currently writes for the Hartford Examiner as the Gardening Examiner. Her idea for her blog began one day as she was rocking her baby to sleep.
As she watched the news, she heard the announcer say that the only companies to post earnings that quarter were fast food chains and a large retailer. She realized that people were hungry for ways to eat and live inexpensively. But, as she looked at her little girl, her desire for a healthy world for her baby was of utmost importance. So, she came up with the idea of Back to Basics.
Talia graduated from Wellesley College with a major of Political Science. Her career began in the world of politics. That transformed into a desire to move into administration which led her to New York University. She has an MPA in Health Finance from New York University`s Wagner School of Public Service. In total, Talia has nine years experience in the public sector. She currently lives in New Haven, Connecticut.
