Glenn Swift (Editor)
Contact Information: firstname.lastname@example.org Glenn was a life-long resident of Vero Beach, Florida before moving to the "left coast" to become Managing Editor of Kettley Publishing in Newport Beach. A graduate of one of the Southeast's most prestigious prep schools, St. Edward’s Upper School in Vero Beach, he obtained a B.B.A. in Finance from Stetson University in Deland, Florida. Glenn then began a successful career as an investment advisor and worked for a number of brokerage firms/financial institutions for the next 25 years. Because history and writing were always Glenn’s true passion, he returned to academia and received a Master of Arts in European History from the University of Central Florida. While attending graduate school in the late 90’s, Glenn began the pursuit of a childhood dream by writing professionally. Success came quickly. In a feature story written for the Vero Beach Magazine entitled “How Vero Man Was Found -- And Lost Again,” he received the Florida Magazine Association’s 1999 Bronze Award for “Excellence in Writing/In-Depth Reporting.” Shortly thereafter, Glenn received a grant from the State of Florida to compile a history of Hunter’s Creek -- a very successful, planned-community just outside of Orlando. He turned the project into his master’s thesis, which was later published by the Hunter’s Creek Community Association as A History and Critical Analysis of Hunter’s Creek. Just before graduation from UCF, Glenn was inducted into the international history fraternity of Phi Alpha Theta for his outstanding scholarship and contribution to the field.
Apart from serving as Managing Editor of Kettley Publishing, Glenn is Senior Editor with the College Press, Senior Editor for the Student Operated Press, Editor in Chief of The Local Buzz Magazine and a feature writer for the Gulf Stream Media Group -- the largest magazine publisher in the state of Florida.
Glenn is the proud son of the late Reginald and Dorothy Swift, and father of Glenn Swift Jr.,19, another very talented writer.
