Madonna's Publicist Goes Medieval On Reporter
"Madonna is known for being tough, and her publicist, Liz Rosenberg, is apparently just as tough. She gave strict instructions to reporters at Wednesday`s "Material Girl" fashion launch at Macy`s. What happened to one reporter who chose to disobey is the stuff of legend.
Rosenberg told reports they could each ask three questions of Madonna and her daughter Lourdes at the `Material Girl` event; and the questions had to be fashion related. According to reporters on scene, the "fashion-only" rule was to keep the press from asking about her newly arrested stalker."
One female reporter asked the Material Girl: What do you think about Ashton and Demi breaking up? Madge`s publicist slapped the microphone out of the reporter`s hand.
This was a fashion event, and Madonna wasn`t being a diva by stating that she would only respond to fashion related questions.
However the publicist`s actions qualify as "assault and battery", and the reporter should have immediately filed a lawsuit.
Reporters, even fashion correspondents, should be tough as nails, and the chastised reporter should have expressed outrage at Rosenberg`s outlandish behavior.
If Rosenberg had treated me in the same way, I would have sued her, Madonna, and Madonna`s daughter for good measure.
