"Police in Florida said a suspect arrested for drug possession denied ownership of the cocaine he was found to be concealing in his buttocks.
The Manatee County Sheriff`s Office said Raymond Stanley Roberts, 25, was pulled over at 8:40 a.m. Wednesday in Manatee and the deputy writing the speeding ticket detected the odor of marijuana in the car, The Bradenton Herald reported Friday." UPI.Com
Not admitting anything to a cop is a sound principle to live by. If a police officer pulls me over and finds a roach in the ashtray, I would deny that it was mine, and I would refer any other questions to my attorney.
Any lawyer worth his salt will be able to cast enough doubts and suspicions about the provenance of the roach, the prosecutor`s case won`t stand up in court.
But there are exceptions to any rule, and if a strip search reveals that you are hiding cocaine in your rear end, you might as well admit that it`s yours.
If you deny that it`s yours you may not be imprisoned, but you might find yourself in a mental asylum.
