Poll: Older British Men Grumpier Than Hell
"Britons find being older than 52 is nothing to laugh about because that`s the age when they start becoming grumpy, according to a survey on Friday.
The poll of 2,000 Britons found those over 50 laughed far less than their younger counterparts and complained far more.
While infants laughed up to 300 times a day, that figure had fallen to an average of six laughs by teenage years and only 2.5 daily chuckles for those over 60, the survey for cable TV channel Dave found." UPI
I`m surprised Britons, especially residents of London, find anything to laugh about. The weather is usually foggy and dreary, English cuisine is fit for the dogs, and Amy Winehouse and Lily Allen cause more havoc than terrorists.
Infants may laugh up to 300 times a day, but they also poop and slobber all over themselves 300 times a day. Those of us over 52 might laugh more often if there weren`t any infants disturbing our peace by laughing their fool heads off for no discernable reason.
I laugh a bunch of times during the day; it`s either laugh or cry. If my articles elicit one chuckle a day from my readers, I`ve done my good deed for the day.
