Emergency Meeting Held by the Panthers Party

An Emergency Meeting of the Working of JKNPP was held in Jammu, the winter capital of J&K under the Chairmanship of Prof. Bhim Singh who discussed the prevailing situation in Jammu and Kashmir and measures to be adopted to restore peace and democracy in the state.

Among the prominent Panthers Party leaders who attended the meeting included M/s. Harsh Dev Singh, MLA (Working Chairman of the Party), Balwant Singh Mankotia, MLA (State President of the Party) and several District Presidents. The Party has adopted several important resolutions today.

The Party in a resolution rejected the appointment of three interlocutors on Kashmir saying that interlocutors need basic knowledge on the geography, ethnicity and peoples` aspirations of J&K before they dare open their accounts in J&K. Prof. Bhim Singh described appointment interlocutors as providing job to the unemployed persons at the cost of exchequers.
