Bhim Singh Calls on President of India to Seek Intervention

Prof. Bhim Singh, Chairman, National Panthers Party and Member, National Integration Council called on Mrs. Pratibha Devisingh Patil, the President of India this afternoon and urged her for her intervention in connection with the proposed Central University Jammu which has not been allotted with Vice Chancellor even. 

The Panthers Party Chief petitioned the President of India being the visitor of the Central University requesting her that the University of Kashmir started functioning even before it was constituted by an Act of Parliament whereas Central University in Jammu has no trace of its site, no infrastructure and no Vice Chancellor.

Prof. Bhim Singh urged the President of India who is the visitor of the Central University and is fully competent to take decision on the selection of Vice Chancellor after the panel on VCs is submitted to the visitor. He said that Jammu Pradesh has highly competent academicians-cum-administrators and the aspiration of the people of Jammu deserves consideration.
