Want To Spend A Night On A Magic Mushroom?

By Robert Paul Reyes

"Visitors to Berlin`s Museum for Contemporary Art can book themselves a night in an installation created by artist Carsten Hoeller at a cost of 1,000 euros ($1,400) as of November 5.

The installation, which includes a floating hotel room on a platform shaped like a mushroom, gives guests an `opportunity to dive into the world of soma,` the museum said.

Soma is a mythical drink with powers to heal, enlighten and provide access to the divine, according to the beliefs of Vedic nomads in northern India during the second millennium BC."

A fool and his money are soon parted, and only a jackass would pay over a thousand bucks to spend a night in a museum.

I don`t condone the use of any drug, but I`d rather pay a few bucks for a magic mushroom than $1,400 for the privilege of staying in a floating hotel room shaped like a mushroom.

If you want to experience the world of soma, and really feel like you are floating, save yourself a thousand bucks and eat a magic mushroom.

I`m not extolling the virtues of drugs , I`m pointing out the stupidity of some folks to pay a small fortune to do something weird and original.

Bottom Line: Anyone who pays that much money to stay at museum is as stupid as somebody who does illicit drugs.
