Cops Throw The Book At Bookworm
|
|
"Police threw the book at a bad driver for reading while navigating Canada`s busiest highway, southwest of Toronto, authorities said Friday. The Ontario Provincial Police got a call from a concerned motorist about a distracted driver on the 401 Highway near Chatham-Kent, at 2:39 am Thursday. `The motorist told police that a Pontiac G5 was driving down the 401 with its interior light on and the driver was reading a book,` police said in a statement." AFP It`s usually high-tech devices like cell phones that distract motorists, but this driver wasn`t paying attention to the road because he was reading a book. An honest to goodness real book, not a Kindle. This fool was booking down the road while reading a book, it`s no surprise that he was straddling the center line. I`m glad that there are still people who enjoy reading, I just wish they wouldn`t read while they are behind the wheel. The cops should book this bookworm for reckless driving.
