"Having previously found success with the songbooks of the Beatles and Elvis Presley, Cirque du Soleil will next take on the King of Pop -- Michael Jackson.

It seems hard to believe that it`s been almost a year and a half since the King of Pop died. Michael Jackson`s devoted fans mourned his death, but we continue to celebrate his life and music. The pop icon made his debut on Forbes magazine fame and fortune list earning $275 million last year.

I`m thrilled to hear that Cirque du Soleil, which did an excellent job presenting the music of the Beatles, will now take on the music of Michael Jackson.

Michael had an ethereal magical sensibility that matches perfectly with the Cirque du Soleil`s acrobatic and theatrical elements.

I love Michael Jackson, but his wacky personal life often took away the spotlight from his incredible talent. Only a professional circus troupe can do justice to the montage of spectacle, controversy and talent that we associate with the King of Pop.
