By SOP newswire2

Get ready to start a new tradition for Christmas with the book "Humbug, A Christmas Carol" by Lee Baker.  The magical humming of humbugs attracts the magical reindeer of Santa and the tradition of making humbug cookies on Christmas Eve is spreading.  After making cookies on TV last year, I got a lot of emails from people who have made humbug cookies part of their Christmas Eve tradition, " said Baker.

"This book is so, so adorable, I love it!" said Reagan Leadbetter, "from ABC 4`s Good Things Utah," as she designed humbug cookies with Illustrator Kienan Lafferty and Creative Director Stephen Sobisky.  Humbugs represent everything good about Christmas and we kept that in mind as we designed them for the book.  "From the illustrations we are now creating a digital animation television special much like "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,`" said Sobisky, who worked on "Shrek,"Antz ,"Race to Witch Mountain," and many other feature films, and is currently CEO of Sandman Studios and Paralight Films.  The long range goals of Humbug, A Christmas Carol " also include a live-action feature film and Christmas is not the only time you will see the humbugs.  "Humbug is a franchise," said Sobisky, We are already working on "Humbug, A Halloween Scare.`"

Music is an important part of the humbugs and the Christmas soundtrack is already underway "it`s fun to hear the humbugs rock to Jingle Bells," said Baker who will be releasing another illustrated book called "Beau and the Beanstalk" in December and a novel called Speed of Light " in January of 2011.

The humbug soundtrack is planned for release Christmas 2011 with the animated television special.
The book is available now in stores and on the internet at  Make sure Santa visits your house this year by making "Humbug, A Christmas Carol" and humbug cookies a part of your family holiday traditions.
