Steve Johnson Blames God For Dropping Football! God: What A Tool!

By Robert Paul Reyes

Buffalo Bills receiver Steve Johnson dropped the winning touchdown pass in an eventual 19-16 overtime lose to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

A typical football player would have uttered a profanity, and his costly mistake would have soon been forgotten.

Johnson blamed the Almighty for his dropped pass, tweeting:

I PRAISE YOU 24/7!!!!!! AND THIS HOW YOU DO ME!!!!! YOU EXPECT ME TO LEARN FROM THIS??? HOW???!!! ILL NEVER FORGET THIS!! EVER!!! THX THO..."

Ryan`s Fitzpatrick`s pass was perfectly thrown, Johnson has nobody but himself to blame.

We are responsible for our successes and failures; god is simply not in the equation.

The deity that we believe in is a reflection of our own personality. Johnson`s god has a lot in common with Lucy who holds a football for Charlie Brown to kick, but pulls it away before he kicks it, causing the round-headed kid to fly into the air and fall on his back.

It is ludicrous and vain to believe that a deity is interested in a football player`s exploits on the gridiron. If there`s a supreme being, it`s my guess that he doesn`t give a damn about football.

I have to at least give Johnson credit for consistency, he praises God when he scores a touchdown, and it only makes sense that he would curse Him when he makes a mistake.

My advice for Johnson: Keep your religion to yourself, if you don`t want to expose your stupidity. Dude, don`t sweat the small stuff. A dropped touchdown pass is a very small matter in the great scheme of things. God doesn`t give a damn about such things, and neither should you.
