Greatest American Dog to Fight the Hunger in America

By Ernest Dempsey

Remember the winning team of Travis and Presley from the popular reality show Greatest American Dog? Well, the duo performers have been doing some great things, the latest being fighting hunger in America.

School students in Perry, Oklahoma, have teamed up with Brorsen Travis and his fascinating boxer Presley and the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma in the fight against hunger. Till December 3, 2010, students at the Perry Upper and Lower Elementary School and Perry Junior High School will be collecting food and fund donations to benefit Kaw Street, a partner agency of the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma.

In a message accompanying their new video posted on YouTube, the fundraising campaign of Travis-Presley for fighting hunger in Oklahoma announces that the class that collects the most cans will ride on the Adventures with Travis and Presley float in the Christmas parade. Also, the grade that raises the most cans will receive a performance from Travis and Presley.

"It`s important for children to learn how to work together as a community to provide for others," said Brorsen. "I think this is a great way to show them how giving can be fun!" says Travis in an email update to subscriber members/fans of his email group Greatest American Dog.

Do your part this holiday season to give back to your community just as these children are doing! Watch Travis and Presley`s anti-hunger video on YouTube and join the fun with the great cause!
