Deteriorating Situation in Kashmir Valley: Panthers Party Demands Governor Rule

Deteriorating Situation in Kashmir Valley: Panthers Party Demands Governor Rule

By SOP newswire2

Prof. Bhim Singh, Chairman of JKNPP and Member, NIC expressed shock on the silence of the Central Government on the deteriorating situation in Kashmir Valley where no rule of law exists, no respect for the human rights of citizens, only rule that works is the `NC terror rule`.

The labour class is starving because they cannot attend their daily works because of strikes and curfews backed by the NC-Congress Government. There is no trace of Governance except on Doordarshan and Radio Kashmir. All the local video channels have been banned. Even Friday prayers have not been allowed for months.

The youth have been subjected to harassment and state terror to the extent they do not find any other expression except `Azadi` the only way they have to convey their helplessness to the Government of India. Disappearance of the Civil Secretariat from Srinagar has turned the Valley into a ghost Valley. The authority of the law has been crushed to ashes as the judgments of the High Court have been made redundant by the administrative orders e.g. Shri Mian Qayum President Kashmir Bar Association.

Attacks on Mirwaiz Maulvi Umar Farooq are most unfortunate. Such mischiefs shall widen the existing gap between the people in the Valley rather than bridging them towards reconciliation. Those behind such undesirable acts are doing more harm to the service to the national interest and secular harmony which has been backbone of our cultural heritage. The only way is to impose Governor Rule.
