Prof. Bhim Singh Extends Solidarity with Chandrababu Naidu in Hospital Detention in Hyderabad

 Prof. Bhim Singh, Chairman, National Panthers Party and Member, National Integration Council called on TDP Supremo Mr. Chandrababu Naidu, former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and a prominent national farmers` leader at his Government Hospital detention room in Hyderabad. The Panthers Party Chairman expressed solidarity with the farmers` movement of Andhra Pradesh and support to Telugu Desam Party in their great struggle to ensure political, economic, social justice and equity.

 Mr. Chandrababu Naidu was arrested by the police from his fasting venue where he was fasting in support of farmers` demand for the past four days. The Panthers Party Chairman condemned Mr. Naidu`s detention and his removal from the fasting venue. Addressing a large media persons outside the hospital after meeting Mr. Chandrababu Naidu and expressing solidarity with him, the Panthers Party Chairman expressed shock and anger the way the respective Central and State governments had been discriminating with the farmers throughout the country, treating them as wretched of the earth.

Prof. Bhim Singh said that he had come from Jammu and Kashmir with a solidarity message of the Panthers Party to Hyderabad with a hope and trust that Dr. Manmohan Singh, the Prime Minister of India shall intervene in the situation to ensure justice with dignity to the farmers of Andhra Pradesh. He said that farmers throughout the country have been subjected to discrimination, humiliation and have remained deprived of their due share in the development and political participation.

Mr. Naidu expressed gratitude to the Panthers Party Chief who had been a close associate of TDP since the time of NTR. Prof. Bhim Singh said that he came to Hyderabad in 1984 to support N.T. Ramarao when he was dismissed by the Congress government. In 1988, Mr. Chandrababu Naidu with half a dozen MPs of TDP campaigned in Udhampur Parliamentary Constituency for one week.

Prof. Bhim Singh assured the TDP leaders that he shall take up the matter with Prime Minister of India so that life of Telugu Desam Party leader, Mr. Chandrababu Naidu is saved and farmers get justice. Earlier at midnight Prof. Bhim Singh was received by Telugu Desam Party leaders and hundreds of Jai Maha bharath Party activists led by their President, Mr. Maharajarajashri Ranga Das Raja on his arrival at Hyderabad Airport from Delhi. Prof. Bhim Singh also met a delegation of Andhra Pradesh Panthers Party Committee headed by Mr. S.M. Bhatia.
