Miracle In UK: Cat Reunited With Its Owners After Four Years

By Robert Paul Reyes

"A CAT has been reunited with its owners after being missing for more than four years.

Colin the black cat disappeared in August 2006 from Peter and Maria O`Neill`s home in Garstang, Lanc¬a¬shire. Even an advertisement in their local newspaper drew a blank.
Last month, a resident of ¬Garstang contacted charity Cats Protection after a black cat began hanging around in her garden.

A vet scanned it for a microchip which traced it to the O`Neills, who had updated their address. Mrs O`Neill said: `I couldn`t believe it when I got the call. It was really the best Christmas present I could have hoped for.`"" target="_new" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 156); text-decoration: underline; "> Read more

We can learn two important lessons from this Christmas miracle. First of all if you see a strange cat in the neighborhood don`t assume that it`s a stray, call animal control so then can scan it to see if it has a microchip.

Secondly, pet owners need to get with the program and have their pets implanted with a microchip. . This wouldn`t have been a Christmas miracle if Colin didn`t have a microchip.
