Baby Penguin In The Lions' Den
"A resourceful baby penguin took advantage of Germany`s wintry weather to give her minders the slip and embark on a tour of the zoo before waddling into the lions` den.
A visitor spotted the African penguin, born in September, taking a stroll in the lion enclosure but the animal was lucky as the lions were asleep inside rather than braving the icy weather outside, Muenster zoo said on its website."
A monkey might be able to escape from his cage without getting hurt, he can run and climb away from predators who view him as a tasty meal.
It`s a miracle the baby penguin wasn`t killed, he can`t waddle away from a lion or any other animal. And a penguin can`t exactly ward off a lion with his arms (wings).
The tiny penguin is lucky the lions were sleeping, and didn`t take notice of him.
It took keepers a day to lure the silly little thing out of the den. Let`s hope the baby bird? fish? mammal? doesn`t escape from his enclosure again.
Penguins are flightless birds and they have wings and not arms.
