10 Downing Street Rat A Celebrity

"A rat appearing on camera during a BBC broadcast from in front of the British prime minister`s residence made a second TV appearance during an ITN report.

The rat, which made its first appearance in front of 10 Downing Street during a BBC broadcast Jan. 17, hit the airwaves for a second time Monday during a broadcast featuring ITN correspondent Lucy Manning, the Daily Mail reported Monday.

The rat appeared as Manning was speaking about Andy Coulson`s resignation from his position as the Conservative Party`s head of communications amid allegations of improper wiretapping at the News of the World tabloid while he was editor.

It won`t be long before the Downing Street rat has its own Facebook page and Twitter account. The rat`s Twitter comments will probably make more sense than those of Amy Winehouse, Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian, and Snooki.

The rat has more integrity than politicians like Andy Coulson, although like most politicians he seems to love the TV cameras.

Is there a human rat living in 10 Downing Street, that`s a question only the Brits can answer.
