Homeless Dude Attacks Soup Kitchen Volunteer With Metal Rebar

By Robert Paul Reyes

"A Costa Mesa man pleaded not guilty Wednesday to charges he attacked a volunteer at a soup kitchen with a metal pipe, hitting him in the face and sending him to the hospital.

Joseph Athelstan Patterson, 61, is charged with assault with a deadly weapon, battery with serious bodily injury and misdemeanor criminal threats related to a confrontation at the Someone Cares Soup Kitchen in Costa Mesa on Monday.

Patterson was being served food there about 1 p.m. when he got into an argument with a female volunteer, said police Sgt. Phil Myers."

Log this one under: No good deed goes unpunished...

If you`re being served a free meal by a hardworking volunteer, you shouldn`t complain about anything, even if there`s a fly in your soup. A nourishing and warm soup in better than the alternative: Scavenging in a dumpster.

A 2-foot-long piece of sharpened metal rebar is a deadly weapon, this homeless creep should be charged with attempted murder.

You`re going to love prison chow, you loser!
