By SOP newswire2

Prof. Bhim Singh, Chairman, National Panthers Party who is also Chairman of Indo-Arab Solidarity Council and has been associated for three decades with the Socio-Political development in the Arab World. Made a workable, acceptable and respectable suggestion to the Egyptian President, Mr. Hosni Mubarak to read the writings on the walls of Sphinx (Abul-hole), a symbol of Egyptian courage and wisdom which requires a daring decision by the ruler in defence of the history, culture and civilization of Egypt. He suggested that the President Honsi Mubarak should appoint an officiating/working President who may supervise transitional transfer of power to the legitimate representatives of the Egyptian people peacefully, respectfully and constitutionally.

This requires, the Panthers Party Chief said a courageous and wise initiative of President Hosni Mubarak. "Wisdom lies in daring" and Hosni Mubarak has to demonstrate it in the interest of one of the greatest civilizations of the world, `Egypt`.

Prof. Bhim Singh said that his interaction with the leadership and the people of the Arab world for over 35 years has led him to write this open letter to the President of Egypt, Sudan, Yemen and other countries in the Arab World where democracy is the need of the day through popular franchise. He said that, "Egypt needs immediate attention. Since the key to the windows of peace lies in the hands of President Hosni Mubarak. He is mature, sensible and may read the writings on the walls that stand in front of Abul-hole. Abul-hole represents combination of wisdom and strength which Hosni Mubarak may have to exercise.

The Egyptian President may take the assistance of some experts on democracy in India or elsewhere and should go for introducing a democratic constitution where the Parliament shall be elected by popular franchise according to the new Constitution which Egypt and other Arab countries need most. President Hosni Mubarak may nominate his Vice President as "Caretaker President` till the election of new President and other legitimate representatives through popular vote.

The new Egyptian Constitution may choose a Presidential system where the President shall be elected by universal franchise under the supervision of a constitutional Election Commission. No person should be allowed to sit in Presidency for more than two terms. A term of President should not exceed five years. The President as well as the Members of the Parliament should be elected directly by the people. This is the only way a well-wisher of the Arab world and Egypt may suggest for a peaceful, orderly and respectful transition of power to the people. This is the beginning of Ultimate Revolution in the Arab World.

The League of Arab States headed by an able Egyptian administrator may have to convey this message of scientific change to the other members of the League. Democracy is the only panacea to address the sparkling aspirations of their people".
