Chinese Magician In Hot Water Over Goldfish Trick

By Robert Paul Reyes

"Chinese animal rights groups are urging TV stations not to show a magic trick of goldfish swimming in formation.

They believe the performance could involve the use of magnets and therefore harm the fish.

Campaigners want the act dropped from variety shows to be broadcast on Thursday to mark the end of the Chinese New Year holiday.

The magician at the centre of the controversy, Fu Yandong, denies he harms the fish."

Goldish can`t be trained to swim in formation, the only plausible explanation is that the magician/sadist Fu Yandgong has implanted magnets in the goldfish.

The controversial magician claims that he hasn`t harmed his fish, but his word isn`t good enough.

A magician may be loathe to reveal his secrets, but if Yandong doesn`t prove that magnets aren`t used in his trick, then he should be banned from the airwaves.

Nobody thinks it`s funny to swallow goldfish any more, and nobody should consider harming goldfish for the sake of a magic trick to be an acceptable form on entertainment.
