Palin will be speaking alongside heavyweights such as Mohammed ElBaradei - at one stage, the figurehead of Egypt`s pro-democracy movement - feminist firebrand Germaine Greer, and the Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. It`s probably just a rumor that Palin recently visited a Navaho Reservation in preparation for her speech in India. The novice author brushed up on her "Indian" language so she can answer questions from the press. The reality star can`t see India from her house in Alaska, therefore her knowledge of the country might be limited. The Fox News commentator should keep Palinisms to a bare minimum. Americans have a difficult time understanding Palin`s homespun phrases; she might start World War III if she sprinkles her speech with too many "pit bill with lipstick" and "Mamma Grizzlies. Sarah Palin is many things: A former beauty queen, a reality star, and a Fox News talking head. But never in a gazillion years would I refer to Palin as a "global thought leader." After Palin`s trip, Indians will be convinced that they will soon overtake America as the preeminent world power.
