Prof. Bhim Singh Says That Reorganization is The Only Solution
Addressing several Panthers Party workers meetings in the districts of Rajouri & Poonch yesterday and today, NPP Chairman Prof. Bhim Singh appealed the people of neglected areas of Jammu and Kashmir particularly those living in Rajouri, Poonch and Doda to join the movement launched by the Panthers Party for Reorganization of Jammu and Kashmir which he said was the only way out for the development, equitable and recruitment of the people of these areas.
He accused National Conference leadership for the division of the state in 1947 because the Kashmiri leadership always felt insecure in the presence of non-Kashmiri speaking population. He quoted his book, "The Blunders and Way Out` supporting his argument that NC leadership never wanted re-union of J&K, because that would have changed the majority of the Kashmiri speaking population."
Prof. Bhim Singh said that reorganization on the basis of cultural, geographical and linguistic identity is the only solution to restore peace and harmony in J&K and ensure development. There was a tremendous response from the local people for reorganization so that each Province shall have separate Assembly, separate Legislatures, separate budget, separate recruitment.
