Old Coot Finally Gives His Wife Of 65 Years A Diamond Wedding Ring
"A 97-year-old Massachusetts man said he surprised his wife of 65 years with her first diamond ring when they renewed their vows.
Everett Potter of Wayland said he was unable to afford a diamond ring when he first proposed marriage to wife Betty 65 years ago so he took a trip to a local jewelry store and surprised her Monday with a ring at a vow renewal ceremony at their nursing home."
In an age when the average marriage lasts about 65 hours, it`s nice to hear about a couple who have been married for 65 years.
It`s cute that they are still together in a nursing home; it will be sad when one of them passes away and leaves the spouse alone for the last few months of his life.
The 90-something wife, Betty, (Betty White?) finally has a diamond wedding ring. I hope that her eyesight hasn`t failed completely, and she can still appreciate the sparkle of her diamond ring.
We can`t rule out that Everett is senile, and this is actually the 3rd of 4th diamond wedding ring he`s bought for his wife.
I wish this lovely couple all the happiness in the world.
