Russians Bake 3-Ton Easter Cake Monstrosity

By Robert Paul Reyes

"Bakers in St. Petersburg, Russia, celebrated Easter by serving a 3-ton cake known as a kulich during celebrations in the south of the city, organizers said.

Event staff said the kulich was the world`s largest, measuring 33 feet by 66 feet and weighing 3.3 tons, RIA Novosti reported." UPI

Why on Earth would the Russian bakers serve a 3-ton cake? As far as I know Oprah Winfrey isn`t vacationing in the former Soviet Union?

What does a colossal cake have to do with the Easter message? Methinks the Russians are more concerned with setting a world`s record than they are with commemorating the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The Russians can have their humongous cake and eat it too. I`d be happy with a Peep and a couple of chocolate eggs.
