'Beyond Bacon Grease' A Farm-Inspired Cookbook

Old Timey Gifts LLC is proud to announce the July 1, 2011 release of "Beyond Bacon Grease," a farm-inspired cookbook for the low-fat generation, by Cheryl L. Hughey.  In this mouth-watering collection of recipes, Cheryl shares her secrets to low-fat country cooking in an entertaining style that includes original quotes, kitschy advice and folk poetry.  The cover artwork is by interior designer Shelley Jacobs Rodner, a Dream Room Decorator of the Year winner.

The concept behind the book was created from Cheryl`s own journey to better health.  It is Cheryl`s goal to help make healthy dining enjoyable by providing a cookbook that is interesting to read and easy to use. Carefully comb-bound with a heavy-duty plastic covering that can quickly be wiped clean, the 70-page cookbook that is meant to be used and not just admired.

"I want folks to grab a cup of coffee and enjoy my recipes. From the size of the type face to how easily the book opens, I`ve designed something that I want to be useful and fun," said the author.

Cheryl Hughey is a St. Louis-based author that has been published in Natural Muscle, Ms. Fitness, Concierge Magazine, West End Word, Sauce, Intermission Magazine and more. A candidate for a black belt in taekwondo later this year, Cheryl often finds often finds inspiration by working in her garden.
