Not only has she recently appeared on hits such as The Jamie Foxx Show, Bernie Mac, Gilmore Girls, and Friends, she set the Adelphi winning show, Crowns, written by Regina Taylor, at the McCarter Theatre, danced, sang, and acted in the George Faison version of For Colored Girls, and has started an online site, Janet dedicated to bring quality children`s stories for all children, but especially ethnic children.

She has worked for many years with various health organizations, including The National Osteoporosis Foundation, National Minority Health, and Bio, bringing in other celeb friends including Bernie Mac, Richard Roundtree, and Pattie Labelle, to speak on their personal stories. She is a tireless advocate for children, traveling to churches, community centers and schools reading stories, in an attempt to help change the mindset of children today.
