Robbers Mistake Bag Of Donuts For Bag Of Cash

"Three men confronted two employees at the Dunkin` Donuts shop shortly after 9 p.m., Barnstable police Sgt. Thomas Twomey said. One of the men had a hatchet and the other two were carrying knives, he said.

Apparently thinking the workers were carrying cash from the day`s receipts, the men demanded a paper bag that was in one of the women`s purses. The bag, however, was filled with doughnuts, which the suspects took without looking inside."

Perhaps only Oprah Winfrey and Rosie O`Donnell would be content with a booty of donuts, and not cash.

I bet these morons were devastated when they opened the bag and found donuts instead of cash.

I wonder if they made the best out of a bad situation and fought over who got the chocolate glazed donut, or did they flush the tasty treats down the toilet in frustration?

The hapless burglars were quickly apprehended by the police - wait till their fellow prisoners find out that they were busted for stealing donuts.
