Black Man With Saggy Pants Kicked Off Plane! Racism Or Justice?

By Robert Paul Reyes

"Deshon Marman, a 20-year-old University of New Mexico football player, ended up in jail because of the way he wore his pants.

Albuquerque`s KRQE reports that Marman was boarding a U.S. Airways flight Wednesday at San Francisco International Airport when an airline employee asked him to pull up his pants, `because she said, they were `below his butt and his boxer shorts were showing.`"

I don`t care if a person walks around in ratty sweatpants when he`s at home, but commonsense and consideration for others dictates that an individual dress appropriately when he`s in a public place. No airplane passenger wants to seat next to a moron who is exposing his dirty drawers.

Marman is used to being treated like a big man on campus, and he thinks the rules don`t apply to him.

The spoiled football player sat down on his seat, after refusing to pull up his pants. After about twenty minutes a flight attendant finally convinced Marman to get off the plane.

Marman`s mother made an excuse for son, arguing that he is "emotionally fragile" because of the death of a close friend. She also said that people were jealous of her son, and implied that he was targeted by the flight crew because he`s black.

The football player was charged with battery on a police officer and obstruction of a police investigation.

Marman could have avoided arrest if he has simply complied with the rules and regulations that apply to everyone, black, white or brown. Being emotionally fragile doesn`t give anyone the right to assault a police officer.

The University of New Mexico should kick this loser to the curb; without a football career he will be flipping burgers or cleaning toilets for the rest of his life.
