Insanity: Performance Artist Gives Dad 24-Hour 'Healing' Hug
"A conceptual artist said an embrace became `transformative` on Father`s Day when he stepped into an Orlando, Fla., gym to give his dad a 24-hour `healing` hug.
Edward Alan Feldman was the recipient of his son Brian`s hug which began 12 a.m. Sunday in the boxing ring at Orlando`s Orange Avenue Gym. People who paid their $10 entrance fee turned from spectators to participants after noon and were allowed in the ring to hug their own loved ones, the Orlando Sentinel reported."
A conceptual artist is to art what an American Idol reject is to music. I would like to give Feldman a solid kick in the arse and call it constructive criticism or performance art.
Hugging your father for 24 hours isn`t a "transformatvie" experience, it`s a smothering ordeal. I wouldn`t be surprised if Feldman`s dad doesn`t want to see his son anytime in the next few years.
I wouldn`t completely dismiss the benefits of hugging someone for hours at a time; I would love to give hottie Sarah Palin a 24-hour healing hug, now that would be an exhilarating experience. I`m not a Repulican, but I am a horndog.
