'Dallas' Is Making a Comeback on TNT

'Dallas' Is Making a Comeback on TNT

By Garrett Godwin

TNT has made itself as the cable network that knows drama with The Closer, Leverage, Southland, HawthoRNe, Rizzoli & Isles, Men of a Certain Age, Franklin & Bash, and Falling Skies. Now, they`re going to hold down the fort to maintain that reputation with Dallas, which will be granted a sneak preview during Monday`s season premieres of The Closer and Rizzoli & Isles.

The reboot of the classic primetime CBS soap (1978 to 1991) will focus on the new generation of the Ewing clan in Southfork: Bobby (Patrick Duffy)`s adopted son Christopher (Jesse Metcalfe, Desperate Housewives), and J.R. (Larry Hagman)`s son John Ross (Josh Henderson). Like their fathers, one is good and the other is bad, as both cousins will be fighting over the family legacy and for the affections of the beautiful Elena (Jordana Brewster).

Duffy, Hagman, and Linda Gray (Sue Ellen) will reprise their original roles in the series, as well as fellow alumnus Steve Kanaly (Ray Krebbs) and Charlene Tilton (Lucy Ewing), join by fellow Desperate Housewives alumni Brenda Strong (Mary Alice Young) as Bobby`s wife Ann.

The new Dallas has been pick-up for ten episodes set to air next summer on TNT, but still come down to Southfork with all 13 seasons of the original that are currently available on DVD.
