SANTA ROSA, California -Harmony Festival is kickin` it, COUNTRY STYLE! With 33 years introducing all sorts of music to the North Bay, Harmony Festival as HFI Presents partners up with local country music station Froggy 92.9 FM to introduce the first major country music festival in Northern California: The Sonoma Country Music BBQ, Sunday August 21st on the Great Lawn at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds in Santa Rosa, CA. 5 great artists, local brewmasters and BBQ chefs (plus tasty veggie options!), line dancing, mechanical bull rides, cool crafts & vendors, free kids activity zone-this will be one big amazing fun summertime party for the whole family, neighbors, friends and co-workers!

A new generation is changing the face of country music and our roster reflects this fresh new trend. Headlining this amazing show is ACM and CMA award winning, and Grammy nominated Dierks Bentley (8:45pm), who`s had 14 hits on the charts in the past seven years, with seven of them going to number one. Bentley has a straight-ahead singing style that has made him a fan favorite. He`s won the CMA award for Best New Artist and a CMT award for Best Performance of the Year. Check him out, headlining the CMA Music Festival: Country`s Night to Rock," airing Sunday, Aug. 14 (8:00-11:00 PM/ET) on ABC-TV.

Sharing the bill is CMT fan-favorite Luke Bryan (7:15pm), whose third album for Capitol Records Nashville, Tailgates & Tanlines, is due in stores August 9. His current single, "Country Girl (Shake It For Me)", has become his fastest rising single to date, already reaching the Top 15 due in part to his 1.7 million Facebook fans. He says performing is "all about having fun on stage with the band and giving our fans a night of entertainment." Catch him in Sonoma before he hits the road on his 25-show tour in September!

Also appearing is Thompson Square (5:45pm), the husband-and-wife duo of Keifer and Shawna Thompson from Oklahoma and Alabama, who`ve been rapturously received as an opening act on superstar Jason Aldean`s tour, packed high-energy shows of their own, seen the "Kiss Me" video become a favorite on CMT and GAC, and performed on the legendary Grand Ole Opry. Hot off their first #1, T2`s new single, "I Got You", recently hit the Top 20 on CMT and GAC and it`s proving to be a great summer love song.

Rounding out the bill is Sonoma County`s own PETE [stringfellow] of Santa Rosa (4:45pm), an award-winning, published artist/songwriter and a talented performer with a driving persistence that has brought him recent successes that promise him a very bright future in the music industry. He recently performed to a sold out crowd at the Wells Fargo Center for the Arts in December, opening for Heidi Newfield. PETE is known in Sonoma County for his hit song "Santa Rosa" and his latest release, Up & Flying. He has over 100 song placements in major Hollywood productions as a producer and a songwriter and looks to capitalize on his unique brand of Country music.

Complementing the mix is 16-year old rising star, McKenna Faith of Ukiah (4pm), whose recently-released debut CD Sugar and Spice is getting loads of airplay. Ms. Faith is the real deal, having grown up on the rodeo circuit, singing the national anthem and also going to the World Barrel Racing Finals in Texas and Oklahoma. After winning "People`s Choice" in the Rising Stars competition, she recorded the CD in Nashville and has been learning the ways of the road ever since. She and her band are the future of country music.

In addition to the best country music line-up ever to play in Northern California, the
Sonoma Country Music BBQ caters to the good folks who`ve got a hankering for a heap of finger-lickin good tunes with a feast to match!
