915 Lucille Ball Look-A-Likes Set World Record

By Robert Paul Reyes

"A total of 915 Lucille Ball look-alikes converged on Jamestown, N.Y., to celebrate the late comedian`s 100th birthday and set a world record, officials say.

Lucille Ball Desi Arnaz Center for Comedy hosted the `Be a Lucy` event Saturday, The Buffalo (N.Y.) News reported.

Pending verification, the record will be entered in Guinness World Records next year for `Most People Dressed as Lucy Ricardo in One Place at One Time.`"

There`s a world record for everything, any town that sets its mind on setting a record will succeed. I`m sure that not too many people want to dress like Rosie O`Donnell, if ten people in a town dress like the former talk show host they will set a world record.

It`s a great idea and a lot of fun to dress like Lucy, but it`s an even better idea to act like Lucy. There are too many uptight people in this world; I wish that at least once per year folks would be allowed to act like the zany comedian.

Many of the Lucille Ball look-a-likes were men and children, you don`t need to be a female to channel Lucy and have a lot of fun. I`m going to act like Lucy today, and I don`t care if I have a lot of `splaining to do tomorrow.
