Green Day Singer Billie Joe Armstrong Booted Off Flight Over Saggy Pants
"Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong says he was kicked off of a Southwest Airlines flight Thursday night for wearing his pants too low.
Armstrong was approached by a flight attendant and told to pull his pants up. Armstrong initially dismissed the request, asking, `Don`t you have better things to do then worry about that?` When the flight attendant repeated the request and threatened to have Armstrong removed from the plane, Armstrong relied "I`m just trying to get to my f**king seat.`"
Teenagers sometimes succumb to peer pressure, and make unfortunate fashion decisions. Billie Jo Armstrong is 39, it`s time for him to tighten his belt and wipe off the mascara.
Armstrong`s use of profanity escalated the situation, he left the flight attendant with no choice but to kick him off the flight. Armstrong is just another rock star who thinks the rules don`t apply to him.
This isn`t a case of having the freedom to dress however you want to in public. Obviously the line has to be drawn somewhere, no passenger would want to sit next to a guy wearing nothing but a Speedo. This is a matter of civility and manners -- nobody wants to see your dirty drawers Mr. Armstrong.
It`s time for Billie to grow up, he can start by calling himself "Bill" and pulling up his pants.
If Armstrong sues Southwest Airlines, I hope he will be awarded just enough money to buy a belt.
