On Thursday November 10, 2011 Angelus Plaza`s City View is honoring Kelly Boyer, Director, Los Angeles Multifamily Hub, U.S. Dept. of Housing and Urban Development, for her contributions in providing affordable housing options to Southern Californians. 

The gala reception, including a silent auction, will take place at Angelus Plaza (255 South Hill Street in Downtown LA).  Over 200 community and business leaders, civic officials and friends will attend this year`s event.  Tony Shalhoub, star of stageand screen, widely known from the hit TV series Monk " will serve as Master of Ceremonies.  This event will benefit the Angelus Plaza Senior Activity Center and its comprehensive programs that inspire resident and community seniors.  For sponsorship information, donations or reservations, contact Chantal Denny at 213-623-4352 ext. 311 or angelusplaza@rhf.org

Angelus Plaza`s City View is an annual event to support multicultural services for elderly persons in downtown Los Angeles and surrounding communities " in education, transportation, creative arts, health and social services.  Serving over 130,000 older adults annually, the Angelus Plaza Senior Activity Center emphasizes the importance of continued learning and a healthy lifestyle in a safe and supportive environment. As part ofthe Retirement Housing Foundation, a non-profit 501 (c)3 organization, Angelus Plaza is America`s largest affordable housing community where approximately 1,300 older adults and people with disabilities, call it home. 

Opened in 1980, Angelus Plaza is the largest affordable housing community for older adults in the nation, encouraging multicultural sharing and involvement. Revenues from this event will support vital services that enrich the elderly via the Angelus Plaza Senior Activity Center. Research has shown that these services play an intricate part in improving the lives of participating seniors, allowing them to remain productive, contributing member sof society.
