'Frank And Louie' The Two-Faced Cat Turns Twelve

By Robert Paul Reyes

"Frank and Louie is the world`s oldest two-faced cat, which is not to say he is deceitful or insincere.

Rather, the fluffy, gray feline with two mouths, two noses and three eyes, turned 12 years old this month, setting the record for `longest surviving Janus cat,` Sara Wilcox, a Guinness World Records spokeswoman said on Tuesday."

Cats are mysterious; I can never figure out if my kitty is staring at me with contempt or adoration. Owning a cat with two faces is too spooky, but I`m glad that Frank and Louie found a loving home.

It`s very rare for a two-faced kitten to live for more than a few days, it`s incredible that Frank and Loui has survived 12 years.

The two-faced feline has only one brain, it`s unfortunate that her owner refers to the unique cat as "Frank and Louie." He doesn`t have a split personality and he`s not a Siamese twin.

The cat was adopted by a woman who was a veterinary technician in 1999 when the two-faced kitten who brought into her clinic to be put to sleep. The kind woman, known only as Marty, decided to take the kitten home and 12 years later he is still filling her home with love.
