New Amy Winehouse CD 'Lioness:Hidden Treasures' To Be Released In December

By Robert Paul Reyes

"Island Records announced on Monday that the label will release an Amy Winehouse album in December titled "Lioness: Hidden Treasures" comprised of old and new material. Her longtime collaborators Mark Ronson and Salaam Remi reportedly went through the tracks she had left behind and selected the material for the coming release."

The album will be released in time for Christmas, this is great news for the millions of Amy Winehouse fans all over the world. The announcement by Island Records comes as quite a surprise, nobody was expected a new CD from the pop diva anytime soon.

The new CD record isn`t a collection of outtakes and rejected material; Island Records is so proud of the new Winehouse release that they played most of the songs on the album for music journalists. If the new project wasn`t up to par the record company would never have risked letting music journalists hear most of the album. Island, because they would have warned their readers not to buy it.

The new album has the seal of approval from Amy`s father, Mitch Winehouse, who gushed: We believe it will stand as a fitting tribute to her musical legacy.

The coming release will include the retro-soul singer`s collaboration with Tony Bennett "Body and Soul." This wonderful song alone is worth the price of an entire collection of songs.

Amy`s new album won`t be sold for 99 cents on Amazon.Com, you don`t need to resort to cheap gimmicks to sell an album by a musical genius.

Amy Winehouse released only two albums in her career, thank goodness we now have one more CD to treasure and enjoy.
