Incarceron Movie to be Released 2013

Incarceron Movie to be Released 2013

By Tony Graff

In pre-production now is the movie Incarceron. It`s based on the 2007 novel by the same name written by Catherine Fischer.

The book is about a dystopian dual world. One above ground, that seems to be having world peace by resorting to life by the culture of a Pre-Victorian era with a healthy mixing of technology (self-cleaning floors and the like).

The other world is that of Incarceron, the sentient prison that keeps everything unsightly to the above world away from the above world. Many a Steampunk fan rejoiced to hear that this popular novel is now being made into a movie.

Some of them, however, cringed when it was released that Taylor Lautner would be cast as the main character, Finn. Lautner played the shape-shifting Jacob Black in the Twilight series and more recently Nathan Harper in Abandon.

Will this end up being a Twilight formula with Steampunk culture mixed in? Nothing`s up so far, and with the movie set to be released in 2013, we may never know if the Mayan calendar holds true. But, fans of Catherine Fischer`s novels are gathering excitement as the cast, production, and imagery to be associated with the movie rolls out.
