Firefighters Rescue Homeowner Stuck In His Chimney

"Firefighters in Texas said they rescued a man who became stuck in his chimney after locking his keys inside of his home."

UPI

The 22-year-old man found himself locked outside of his house with his spouse and children. I`m sure he felt like a fool standing outside his house with his wife and kids, but no keys.

The man could have called a locksmith, or gained entry by breaking a window, but instead he chose the worst possible action: Climbing down the chimney.

Climbing down the chimney may work in movies and for Santa Claus, but it`s next to impossible to gain entry into a house this way. The firefighters said that there`s no way to get past the damper assembly.

Replacing a broken window or calling a locksmith is a lot less expensive than repairing the damage caused by going down a chimney.

The firefighters had to break down his door anyway, I`d hate to be in this guy`s shoes.

I know this dude has already suffered enough, but he should be billed for the emergency call.
