Woman Sues Dealership: Vehicle Smells Like A Dead Body

By Robert Paul Reyes

"A Michigan woman may not have expected that new-car smell when she bought a used vehicle but says she certainly didn`t expect the odor of a dead body.

In a lawsuit filed in Oakland County Circuit Court, Margarita Salais of New Baltimore alleges the dealership`s staff sold her a 2006 Ford Expedition last March without telling her it once held a dead body."

The best part about buying a new car is soaking in that new-car smell. A cologne that smells like a new car would be a big hit with men and women, men would splash it on to impress the ladies and females would buy it for the men in their lives.

Even a regular dude like me would be popular with the ladies if I splashed on new-car cologne, at least until they saw me drive away in my junker.

When you purchase a used car, you don`t expect that new-car scent, but by the same token you don`t expect it to smell like a homeless person died in there.

The dealership should return the woman`s money, or at least let her exchange the car with the funky smell for one of comparable price.

Margarita has a legitimate claim, and I hope she wins enough money to buy a luxurious new car with that wonderful new-car fragrance.
