Indian Government Not Tackling Corruption: Anna Hazare

Indian Government Not Tackling Corruption: Anna Hazare

By SOP newswire2

Ralegan Siddhi, Maharashtra: Indian Corruption activist Anna Hazare on Wednesday said that the Indian government was not serious about fighting corruption.

Anna Hazare while addressing reporters in his hometown said, "The government is not serious about fighting corruption."

He further said that there is an immediate need to bring the Group-C and Group-D employees under the Lokpal Bill, "I will fast for one day on December 11 at Jantar Mantar to press for a strong Lokpal," he maintained.

The social activist also threatened to go on an indefinite fast starting on December 27 if a strong Lokpal Bill won`t be passed in the Parliament during the Winter Session.

Pertinently, The Government Draft of the Lokpal Bill suggests only the Group A and Group B central government employees under the Lokpal ambit and is still silent on Group C and Group D central government employees.
